Meditation classes and mindfulness practices have skyrocketed in popularity over the past two decades. It’s reported that up to one in six Australian adults practise meditation and one in ten practise yoga. Meditation is highly effective in reducing stress, cultivating mindfulness, managing anxiety and aiding emotional regulation. One of the simplest ways to start incorporating meditation and mindfulness into your life is through meditation classes facilitated by a qualified instructor. The Wellness Workshop’s meditation classes are run by our resident teacher Belinda, and are suitable for all ages, abilities and levels. Belinda uses a variety of meditation techniques and instruments to aid in the relaxation process, as well as mantras (voice) and visualisation techniques. You can book a group meditation class, one-on-one class or even a private meditation class where we can come directly to your school, office or workplace to facilitate the session.

The Wellness Workshop runs small group meditation classes and private one-on-one meditation sessions at their wellness centre in Wantirna. Classes are run by our qualified meditation teacher Belinda who has over ten years industry experience instructing thousands of individuals from beginner to advanced levels. Class availability changes throughout the year with sessions usually available on weeknights and sometimes on weekends. corporate & school bookings

The Wellness Workshop offers private meditation class bookings for workplaces, organisations, schools and community centres. Our classes are suitable for all levels and abilities and can be tailored to your organisation's specific needs. Our meditation classes can be booked as a one-off, or part of a larger wellness program created by our team. Meditation class duration varies from 30 - 90 minutes and can incorporate the use of instruments, music and mantras to promote a state of deep relaxation and mental awareness.

Originating in Asia through Ayurvedic practice in India and traditional therapies in China, meditation has been recognised as one of the fastest growing wellness trends of the past decade. Loosely defined, meditation is about focusing awareness and relaxing the mind to promote an improved sense of presence, calmness and attentiveness. Awareness can be achieved through techniques such as focusing on the breath or listening to a particular sound or instrument repeatedly. what can i expect in meditation classES?

The Wellness Workshop's meditation classes suit all ages, levels and personality types. Our meditation classes are judgement-free, welcoming spaces where you are made to feel calm, included and appreciated. Depending on whether you are attending a meditation class at our wellness centre, or if you're participating in a private meditation class at your school or workplace, you can expect to be seated comfortably on a chair or a mat on the floor. From here, our meditation teacher will soothingly guide you through the session with voice prompts and sometimes music or instruments (chimes, drums...etc) Many of our first-time participants have indicated their surprise at how quickly they felt the class went in comparison when they tried to meditate on their own and were unsuccessful. You may also learn breathing techniques and complete body scan activities, where our meditation teacher makes you aware of the different sensations and feelings around your body by focusing your attention on it.

Why choose The Wellness Workshop’s MEDITATION CLASSES?

Unlike many other meditation classes in Melbourne, you do not have to have a membership or pay a monthly fee to attend The Wellness Workshop's meditation classes. All our classes can be booked and paid for on an ad-hoc basis, or you may even choose to book your own private one-on-one meditation session with our qualified meditation teacher Belinda. For all corporate, community and school bookings, we offer competitive rates and flexible timing that fits in with your organisation's needs. We'll even set up the room with our own cushions and furniture if required, and pack up when we're done!

how much are meditation classes?

Our group meditation classes in-house start from as little as $10 per person, with one-on-one meditation classes from $50 for a 30 minute session at our wellness centre in Wantirna. Private meditation classes for large groups, schools or workplaces start from $90 per 1 hour meditation and include setting up and packing down.
